Port of Rotterdam meets European Commission

Yesterday, in Brussels, entrepreneurs from the port of Rotterdam and representatives of the Port of Rotterdam Authority and employers’ organisation Deltalinqs met with Vice-President of the European Commission Kallas and European Commissioner Oettinger. The Dutch Cabinet was represented by Prime Minister Rutte.
 
The key question was How does Rotterdam’s port and industrial complex contribute to Europe’s competitive position and what can Europe do to strengthen Rotterdam? This was fleshed out along two lines, in terms of logistics and industry: Rotterdam as a European centre for imports and exports and as a hub for European energy supplies.

    10月23日，鹿特丹港工作人员、鹿特丹港务局代表、雇主组织代表Deltalinqs在布鲁塞尔会见了欧盟委员会卡拉斯和欧盟专员欧廷格副总裁。荷兰内阁由首相鲁特代表出席。
 
    双方就关于鹿特丹港口和工业园区如何促进欧洲的竞争地位和欧洲应该采取何种措施可以加强鹿特丹的竞争地位等关键性问题展开了讨论。因为就物流产业而言，鹿特丹作为欧洲进口和出口中心，同时也作为欧洲能源供应的枢纽。
